Northbank Riverwalk Sewer Renovation

The Northbank Riverwalk Sewer project has begun, closing a section of the walkway until March. Residents that live in the area, the rehabilitation will take place on the sewer lines beneath Jacksonville Landing. The specific closures include the Riverwalk between Hogan and Newnan Sts. The City is enhancing and prolonging the usefulness of a pipeline that carries up to 4.5 million gallons of sewage daily. Trenchless, cured in place pipeline will be the preferred replacement.  In the interim during renovations, there will be a 24-inch temporary line in place. Completion of the project is expected mid-March.

Reminder:  Duval County residents~ this month, Jacksonville Beach has scheduled a Hazardous Waste & E- Waste Event. This is a mobile collection event being held Saturday, January 23rd. The location will be at the Operations and Maintenance Facility. Some examples of items that will be accepted are: paint thinners, varnish and paint strippers, household and car batteries, photographic chemicals, thermometers and thermostats, drain cleaners, and more.  For electronics: televisions (limit 3 per customer), computer monitors and terminals, CPUs, keyboards, printers, scanners and much more.
